Veck is a made-up word. It means:

I know this is very lame but I like it.
Initially, Veck manifested as effects units, devices that modify an electrical signal (usually musical). These devices are a very satisfying blend of art and science, and were my gateway into engineering. I love making them.

I still make them sometimes, but now I’m doing other things. My day job is very Veck, I am very lucky. Lots of things are Veck. A flexible solar cell that is sewn into fabric. A small machine that produces nothing. The act of repair. I might document some here.

- Plastic use is minimised, and all possible waste is recycled.
- Tantalum capacitors are not used in any Veck product.
- Veck devices are built to last, and have no engineered obsolescences.
- Veck devices are highly repairable.
